Le Nude
“LE NUDE”
This “invisible” varnish for INDOOR usage is in fact a vitrifier (“vitrificateur”) that is highly resistant to scratches and stains, is made by 1919 By Mauler and is perfect in combination with our SUAR log tables as well as on teak (bathroom) cabinets.
This French product also has the EU eco-label and is water-based.
Advantages of “Le Nude”:
- Perfect matte and colorless effect, gloss: (<7UB(60°)
- Does not yellow or fade the wood.
- Easy to apply thanks to controlled rheology which ensures good adhesion and a perfect finish. Does not slip.
- The elasticity of the product allows it to follow the deformations of the wood.
- ULTRA-resistant to scratches, abrasion and stains.
- Odorless, dries quickly and provides a natural look to the wood.
BEFORE varnishing:
Use this product only on clean, dry, untreated wood.
If the table is sanded by us, you only need to clean it with a damp rag to remove all dust and dirt and then it is ready to be varnished.
If you wish to treat the teak cabinets, it is necessary to give them a final fine sanding with a scouring sponge (opening the pores and removing any last irregularities that may occur when the wood dries), then wipe with a slightly damp cloth. After that, the cabinet is ready to treat.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Use: indoors
The product consumes ± 8-12 l/ m² per coat.
It is dry to touch in ± 15-30 min.
The next layer can be applied after ± 4 hours.
USE:
1) Make sure the table is dust-free by cleaning it with a slightly damp cloth.
Let the table dry, meanwhile you can give the bottle a good shake and prepare your supplies.
2) Now apply the varnish with a brush or rag in the direction of the wood grain (never pour the varnish directly on the table this will leave spots).
3) Wait 4 hours for it to dry and then you can apply the next coat.
We usually recommend 3 coats. But you can tell when the table has had “enough” varnish when you notice that you use up almost no varnish and you just “wet” the table.
Varnish the table along the top, sides and 10 cm at the bottom. That way should wine or cola be spilled it could not penetrate the table along the bottom. We recommend not varnishing the rest of the table so that it can continue to “breathe”.
ATTENTION:
Never leave excess varnish on the table.
Never pour varnish directly onto the table as this will leave marks.
BEFORE NABE TREATMENT:
After several years, degrease, lightly sand and wash the table before you can apply a new coat.
INDICATIVE STORAGE TIME:
2 years in the unopened original packaging.
Stable under normal storage conditions.
TIPS:
Put your brush in a bag and hang it up, that way you can reuse it for the next coat.
This product can also be used to protect parquet, wooden stairs, and other wooden elements in the house.
