STONE_ID - Stone statues

In our STONE_ID range we have stones and resin figures from Indonesia. We have both the typical images of Buddha, Ganesh, … but also images of the legendary GARUDA bird and images from the YOGA positions.

Most of these statues are loved in our region as a decorative item, both indoors and outdoors, though these statues are also known for their symbolic and spiritual characteristics. They are perfect eye-catchers in your home, in your garden, at your swimming pool, or in a sauna area.

Our statues are made from natural raw materials such as stone, lava and concrete, making them durable and yet able to withstand weather conditions. So, you can enjoy it for years to come. You can also paint over them yourself if you would like to give a personal touch to the images or want to “renovate” them in this way.

We have two types of statues: the stone statues and the resin statues.

The stone statues are made of a mix of lava stone and concrete. The concrete provides the sturdiness while the lava stone gives a unique texture to the image, resulting in a durable image with elegance and the beautiful roughness of natural stone. The stone statues of the “GRC” type are reinforced with glass fibers, making lighter statues possible. These statues have a browner tint compared to the regular stone statues.

The wax / resin figures are made from a combination of fiberglass, concrete and resin. These statues are very durable and have a much lighter weight than the stone statues”.
Both materials are a good choice, so it is mainly a matter of your own taste and preferences.

Maintenance and painting

The stone statues in concrete, GRC or lava stone can be placed both indoors and outdoors. Statues in resin are only suitable for indoors.

Stone statues require minimal maintenance. Cleaning with water, possibly with some brown soap and a soft brush is often the best option for regular maintenance.

Outdoors, stone statues may discolor due to the influence of the environmental conditions (for example acids in the air, animal droppings, chemicals for the garden/pond/swimming pool, etc.).

Statues can also develop a green coating outdoors. This gives a very natural look, but if you don't like this, you can usually just remove it with water, brown soap and a soft brush.

If the statue changes color over time, don't panic. You can always paint or spray statues yourself with a suitable paint (stone surface & outdoor environment, such as facade paint). You can also be very creative with paint to give a statue its own unique look.
