La Végétale
La Végetale
This varnish with its fine satin finish is highly resistant to scratches and stains. “La Végétale”, like the other varnishes, is made in France by 1919 By Mauler.
“La Végétale” is a good option for treating teak furniture, such as for the bathroom.
BENEFITS:
- The product consists of more than 82% bio-based materials, part of which is of plant origin.
- A nourishing care product that protects the wood from stains and wear.
- Preserves the natural aspect of the wood and accentuates its structure (grain and knots).
- Absorbs easily into the wood so that it can be applied smudge-free.
BEFORE VARNISHING:
Use this product only on clean, dry and untreated wood.
If the table has been delivered by us, you only need to clean it with a damp rag and then it is ready to be varnished.
If you wish to treat the teak cabinets, it is necessary to give them a final fine sanding with a scouring sponge (opening the pores and removing any last bumps that may appear as the wood dries), then wipe with a slightly damp cloth. After that, the cabinet is ready to treat.
PROPERTIES:
Usage: INDOOR HOUSE
The product consumes ± 12 l/m² per coat.
Dry for touch after ± 15-30 min.
The next layer can be applied after ± 4 hours.
USE:
1) Make sure the table is dust-free by cleaning it with a slightly damp cloth.
Let the table dry, meanwhile you can shake the bottle well and prepare your supplies.
2) Now apply the varnish with a brush or rag in the direction of the wood grain (never pour the varnish directly on the table this will leave spots)
3) Wait 4 hours for it to dry.
4) Now gently rub the first coat with a scouring pad.
5) And then start again from step 1.
We usually recommend 3 coats. But you can tell when the table has had “enough” varnish when you notice that you are using up almost no varnish and that you are just “wetting” the table.
Varnish the table along the top, sides and 10 cm at the bottom. That way should wine or cola be spilled it could not penetrate the table along the bottom. We recommend not varnishing the rest of the table to allow it to “breathe”.
CAUTION:
Never leave excess varnish on the table.
Never pour the varnish directly onto the table as this will leave marks.
FOLLOW-UP TREATMENT: After several years, you will need to degrease, lightly sand and wash the table before you can apply a new coat.
INDICATIVE STORAGE TIME:
1 Year in the unopened original packaging.
Stable under normal storage conditions.
TIPS:
Put your brush in a bag and hang it up, that way you can reuse it for the next coat.
